Our Mission

The mission of EWPTO is to support Eastwood and Washington Township families through grants, programs, and events that build a sense of community and foster holistic development for all students.

Our Events

  • 6th grade social – this event happens in September where 6th graders can come together to play games and socialize in hopes of getting to know other 6th graders.  It is usually held on the football field if weather permits.  The PTO provides the games, a DJ and food with donations through our fundraiser.  The event is afterschool until 6pm which allows the students to ride the late buses.
  • 7th grade social – this event happens in September where 7th graders can come together to play games and socialize in hopes of getting to know other 7th graders.  It is usually held on the football field if weather permits.  The PTO provides the games, a DJ and food with donations through our fundraiser. The event is afterschool until 6pm which allows the students to ride the late buses.
  • 8th grade dance – this event happens in December for our 8th graders.  The PTO decorates the cafetorium, provides a DJ and some light food/drink items.  It is held in the evening from 7-9pm.
  • Two General PTO meetings which are open to all families of Eastwood students.  These meetings are held usually in October and April.
  • Winter Fest is an Eastwood event that the PTO supports.  It is open to all families as a time to build community with games, food and outreach for our school community needs.  It is held in January/February at the school in the evening.
  • Staff Appreciation events are held throughout the year to show appreciation to our staff, teachers, cafeteria workers, custodians and bus drivers.
  • Grants are provided to teachers/staff throughout the year for projects.  We also support our teachers with a small reimbursement for classroom needs.
